What I do on Twitter

Wall Is Over

It was 20 years ago today

1988, Prague.

My inspiration get triggered when I  found this on Wikipedia

The Lennon Wall or John Lennon Wall is a wall in Prague, Czech Republic. Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles’ songs. In 1988, the wall was a source of irritation for the communist regime of Gustáv Husák. Young Czechs wrote grievances on the wall and in a report of the time this led to a clash between hundreds of students and security police on the nearby Charles Bridge.

The movement these students followed was described as “Lennonism” and Czech authorities described these people variously as alcoholics, mentally deranged, sociopathic, and agents of Western capitalism.

Okay, it’s Lennonism. It’s not in the dictionary, but I can imagine. Imagine there was twitter in 1988. When I finished dreaming I imagine there was no Twitter in 2018.

Where would you go with your memes? What wall would you pick?
And the Czech authorities have a lot of names for those people who think different. Where do you find name calling like that nowadays?

The wall continuously undergoes change and the original portrait of Lennon is long lost under layers of new paint. Even when the wall was repainted by some authorities, by the next day it was again full of poems and flowers. Today, the wall represents a symbol of global ideals such as love and peace. The wall is owned by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which allowed the graffiti to continue on the wall, and is located at Velkopřevorské náměstí (Grand Priory Square), Malá Strana.

On 17 November 2014, the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the wall was painted over in pure white by a group of art students, leaving only the text “wall is over”. The Knights of Malta initially filed a criminal complaint for vandalism against the students, which they later retracted after gaining contact with them.

HerazIt was about explaining art, opinion, freedom of mind and peace.

This year I gonna visit the wall in Prague. This year I will leave my mark on that wall and this year I will shoot pictures from this moment in time. Mine moment in time. I found this video on YouTube. It shows a lot moments in time. It shows november 2014 as well. Like the world, the wall is changing. This film shows 10 minutes of moments in time.

HerazAs a tribute to this wall I’m gonna create my own Wall is Over. I know, Twitter created “moments” , but I don’t want it to be mine. It’s not my wall.
But I’m going to write on it. Hier Ervaart Roland Al Zijn Nodige Liefde [1]: #heraznl

When the wall in Berlin came down it was colorful at one side. The side where the people are free. I want this wall to be colorful.

When I tweet to the wall at I start with a hart. It will tell the mood.
